What makes this event so special?
It is your once-a-year chance to experience this iconic coastline on foot. We are so grateful to Clifton and Cape Kidnappers Stations for opening their land so the public can experience the dramatic Cape Kidnappers coastline, majestic waterfalls, beautiful native bush, and the incredible Cape Sanctuary wildlife project.
It starts and ends at beautiful Clifton Bay near Hygge Café, making it the perfect spot for family and friends to cheer you on.

Every year, this event raises money for causes close to the hearts of many locals.
The Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter saves lives across our region – they’re the heroes who come when every minute counts. If they aren’t on a mission on the day, they might even do a flyover to entertain the crowds.
We also support the Cape Sanctuary, an incredible project bringing native birds back to our coastline. When you join us, you’re not just having fun – you’re helping your community too.
